Discogs Explorer Pro

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2, 2026

This policy explains how Discogs Explorer Pro handles privacy as a ChatGPT-based research assistant connected to an AetherVortex-managed Discogs proxy service.

Overview

Discogs Explorer Pro helps users research artists, labels, releases, master releases, marketplace statistics, and discovery patterns using Discogs data. The assistant is provided as a Custom GPT and uses an action hosted by AetherVortex on Cloudflare Workers.

Discogs Explorer Pro is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discogs. Discogs data and platform behavior remain subject to Discogs' own terms and policies.

Information processed

When a user asks Discogs Explorer Pro to search or inspect Discogs data, the assistant may send the relevant search terms, filters, IDs, and endpoint parameters to the AetherVortex proxy so the request can be completed.

Users should not enter sensitive personal information into prompts or search requests. The tool is intended for music catalog research, not for processing private personal data.

ChatGPT and OpenAI

Discogs Explorer Pro runs inside ChatGPT. User conversations, account data, model behavior, and ChatGPT platform controls are handled by OpenAI under OpenAI's applicable terms, privacy policy, and user settings. AetherVortex does not control OpenAI's account systems or ChatGPT conversation processing.

AetherVortex proxy service

The GPT action calls an AetherVortex-managed Cloudflare Worker that forwards allowed requests to Discogs. The proxy is protected with a private action key and is used to keep upstream API credentials out of public client code and GPT instructions.

Cloudflare and related infrastructure may process ordinary technical request data, such as timestamps, request paths, status codes, IP-derived network information, cache behavior, and security logs, to operate and protect the service.

Discogs

Requests made through the proxy may be sent to the Discogs API. Discogs may process API requests under its own developer terms, terms of use, and privacy practices. AetherVortex does not control Discogs' platform systems.

Data sale and advertising

AetherVortex does not sell personal data through Discogs Explorer Pro and does not use the GPT action for advertising profiling.

Retention

AetherVortex does not create user accounts for Discogs Explorer Pro. Technical logs may be retained by hosting, security, and infrastructure providers for operational, debugging, abuse-prevention, and compliance purposes.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the assistant, action schema, proxy service, or related platform requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this public policy URL.
